As part of Wingate University’s Fine Arts of Being Southern Symposium, author and motivational speaker Debbie Morris will visit the campus Saturday, March 31 at 3 p.m. for a free lecture about her personal journey told in her book “Forgiving the Dead Man Walking.” The event will take place in the George A. Batte Jr. Fine Arts Center Recital Hall.

Following the lecture, the film “Dead Man Walking” will be shown at 5 p.m. in the Hannah Covington McGee Theatre.
