Friends of the Library Luncheon with Nan Graham

Wingate University’s Friends of the Library will host a luncheon with Nan Graham, author of “In a Magnolia Minute” Thurs. March 29 at 11:30 a.m. in the La Verne Banquet Hall on campus. Tickets are $30, and this event is open to the public.

Graham, who is also the commentator for WHQR Public Radio in Wilmington, NC, is known for her humorous essays and books on growing up and growing old in the South. Pat Conroy says Graham to be, “as Southern as black-eyed peas, scuppernong wine, she-crab soup, Crimson Tide tailgating and a dog with ticks”

Graham will also host a Writer’s Workshop Friday March 30 at 9 a.m. in Wingate University’s Recital Hall. This even is sponsored by the English Department and is free to the public.
