Disabled American Veteran Auxiliary Gets it Charter.

At the regular monthly meeting of the Union County Disabled American Veterans Chapter #95 February 20th. Four new members were sworn in and the North Carolina DAV Auxiliary Department Commander Linda Kafka presented Union County Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary its official Charter. Officers were elected. They are Commander Kay Feldmann, Senior Vice Commander Jeff Katz, and Adjutant-Treasurer Angel Wharton. Union County Disabled American Veterans are a non-profit 503C4 tax deductible organization dedicated to serving all disabled veterans. They assist veterans in filing claims and getting health care. There is NO cost to the veterans and they need not be a member to get the services.  Other programs are women veterans, Hispanic veterans, homeless veterans and posttraumatic stress veterans. Chapter #95 meets the third Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM at the Golden Corral on Roosevelt Blvd in Monroe.
