The Queen&#8217;s Cup Steeplechase happens but once a year, so don&#8217;t miss your opportunity to experience a spectac<a href="http://unioncountyfocus.com/queenscup/files/2008/04/volunteer-email-blast2008.pdf"></a>ular day of horse racing at the beautiful 300 acre Brooklandwood, located in Historic Mineral Springs, just a few minutes from Waxhaw.</p>
<p>The Charlotte Steeplechase Association, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, has donated over $350,000 to regional charities in the past eleven years. This year, a donation will be made to Make-A-Wish. The benefits of volunteering are tremendous; free lunch, volunteer t-shirt, parking, admission and a unique experience in a beautiful setting which benefits regional charities.</p>
<p>Race date: April 26, 2008<br />

Volunteer shifts: Morning and afternoon are available<br />
Training: On site and at a convenient location in Charlotte<br />
Limitations: You must be 15 years of age or older and in good physical health</p>
