Eleventh Annual Griffin Motors Golf Tournament
Monroe, NC - Hospice of Union County will hold the Eleventh Annual Griffin Motors Golf Tournament on May 14, 2007 at Providence Country Club. Since the tournament began, the event has raised over $588,000 to provide care for patients. Although Hospice is a Medicare and Medicaid licensed agency, not all patients qualify for either program nor do they all have private insurance, so Hospice volunteers and staff hold this fundraiser to raise money to pay for the care of those patients.Sponsors provide a great deal of the support for this tournament, including Griffin Motors, our event sponsor, as well as our Eagle Sponsors, Aim South, Christenbury Eye Center, Citizens South Bank, Heritage Funeral Home/Forest Lawn, the Indian Trail Trader and the Enquirer Journal.Wayne Berg, Hospice of Union County’s Resource Development Director, said, “We couldn’t pull this tournament off without every single person involved, from the incredible sponsors to the hardworking volunteers to the generous golfers.
