New Volunteer Training for May
Hospice of Union County will be offering volunteer training on May 12th from 9 am to 3 pm, and May 19th from 9 am to 3 pm. Lunch will be provided for all trainees.Volunteers are the heart of Hospice. They provide support to patients and their families, either at home or here in Monroe at our Hospice Houses. Our volunteers read to patients, watch TV with them, or just sit and chat. They also provide much-needed respite for the family members, who are frequently round the clock caregivers. Often times, volunteers will run errands for the patient or family. Volunteers set their own availability and the volunteer and family agree upon times and activities.Training sessions will be held at Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd., Monroe. To register or for more information, please contact Beth Deal at 704-292-2112 or 704-292-2100.
