We are still accepting registration for this Saturday’s Camp Whittle, a grief camp for kids. Children between the ages of 6 and 16 are welcome to attend. There is no charge for the camp. We’ll start the day off with a scavenger hunt, continue with several different sessions to teach kids how to address and process their grief in healthy ways and end up the day with a fun fair. Parents also get to participate with a separate session towards the end of the day to get an update on what their children have experienced during camp. Marcia Tucker, our grief specialist and social worker, will lead the sessions. Marcia has been involved in quite a few grief programs across the nation, especially those catering to the needs of children.
