Free outdoor Movie featuring “Cars”, is scheduled for May 18, 2007. Amusement activities will begin at 7:00pm and the movie will begin at dusk. Please bring a chair or blanket and come enjoy the event in the Plaza (Government/Judicial Center).

The second of two free concerts called Music on Main - the successor to the Main Street Live series - wll be held on September 27th beginning at 6:30pm-9:30pm. There will be activities for children, for which a nominal fee will apply. BBQ, ice cream and other food will be sold as well.

August 31, 2007 - Movies on the Plaza, featuing “Wizard of Oz”, will be projected onto a giant screen on the Main Street Plaza at dusk. You have to bring your own chair, bit on the up side, it’s free. Snacks will be sold and activities for the kids will begin at 7:00pm for a nominal fee.

Downtown Cruise-Ins are held the first Friday of each month at 5 PM yearlong if weather permits. Anyone is invited to attend, spectators are welcome, classic car owners are encouraged to display their masterpieces. Cars are displayed on Main Street in downtown Monroe. Food is available at downtown restaurants and there is usually entertainment
