Save the date for this unique downtown event that is far more than an art exhibit. On Friday, October 5,
from 5:30-9:30p.m., join in a walk of downtown Monroe that will feature all kinds of art being displayed in numerous businesses. and several venues will have live music. Types of art media include watercolor, oil, acrylic, multi-Media, wood mosaic, furniture craft, pottery, quilting, photography and more. A night of fun for the entire family!  On Thursday night, Sept. 27, from 6:30 until 9:30pm., there will be Music on Main Street featuring The Catalinas.  There will be food vendors and activities and dancing for all ages.  The event is free and open to the public.  Wear your dancing shoes and bring you yard chair.!!!

UC Senior Games kick off event. Held on April 3rd, 2007 at 10:00. Silverstriders Fun Walk will begin at 10:30am and will include a tour of the Historic Depot. Afterwards, the Silverstriders will stroll down to American Ballroom Dance Club where they will be pampered by the downtown Salon & Spas. After relaxing a bit, they will put their dancing shoes on for a group dance lesson with Ted & Kim. As lunch rolls around, they will have their choice of lunch specials at our delectable restaurants downtown. Free outdoor Movie featuring “Cars”, is scheduled for May 18, 2007. Amusement activities will begin at 7:00pm and the movie will begin at dusk. Please bring a chair or blanket and come enjoy the event in the Plaza (Government/Judicial Center).
