Enjoy the beauty of Downtown Monroe and visit some of the town’s most noted buildings during the Historic Home Tour from 1000 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, June 7th. “Downtown Open Air Market”

Details: Open Air Market Monroe returns on Thursday, April 24th from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Fresh produce, flowers, bedding plants, whole wheat baked goods, local honey and lots more are for sale in the parking lot across from the Old Courthouse at the corner of Franklin & Main.

Downtown Monroe Art Walk

Save the date for this unique downtown event that is far more than an art exhibit. On Friday, October 5,
from 5:30-9:30p.m., join in a walk of downtown Monroe that will feature all kinds of art being displayed in numerous businesses. and several venues will have live music. Types of art media include watercolor, oil, acrylic, multi-Media, wood mosaic, furniture craft, pottery, quilting, photography and more. Music on Main

A night of fun for the entire family!  On Thursday night, Sept. 27, from 6:30 until 9:30pm., there will be Music on Main Street featuring The Catalinas.  There will be food vendors and activities and dancing for all ages.  The event is free and open to the public.  Wear your dancing shoes and bring you yard chair.!!!

Downtown Silverwalkers Fun Walk

UC Senior Games kick off event. Held on April 3rd, 2007 at 10:00. Silverstriders Fun Walk will begin at 10:30am and will include a tour of the Historic Depot. Afterwards, the Silverstriders will stroll down to American Ballroom Dance Club where they will be pampered by the downtown Salon & Spas. After relaxing a bit, they will put their dancing shoes on for a group dance lesson with Ted & Kim. As lunch rolls around, they will have their choice of lunch specials at our delectable restaurants downtown. Movies On the Plaza

Free outdoor Movie featuring “Cars”, is scheduled for May 18, 2007. Amusement activities will begin at 7:00pm and the movie will begin at dusk. Please bring a chair or blanket and come enjoy the event in the Plaza (Government/Judicial Center).

Music on Main featuring “The Catalinas”

music-on-main-logo.gifThe second of two free concerts called Music on Main - the successor to the Main Street Live series - wll be held on September 27th beginning at 6:30pm-9:30pm. There will be activities for children, for which a nominal fee will apply. BBQ, ice cream and other food will be sold as well.
