Have you ever wondered just what the responsibilities your city/county is for people with disabilities? Do you work for a governmental agency/department and wonder if you should be doing more? Disabilities Rights & Resources (parent agency of Union County Council for Citizens with Disabilities) is hosting a FREE ADA Title II training from 10:00am until 1:00pm on Friday, March 14, 2008 at the Mint Hill Town Hall on 7151 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. If interested please call Becky by noon on Friday, March 7 so that we can print a notebook for you. Light refreshments will be served.

Have you ever been frustrated when someone has parked illegally in an accessible, reserved parking space? We can help.
Union County Council for Citizens with Disabilities (UCCCD) will meet on Tuesday, May 8th at 1:30pm in the Griffin Room at the Monroe Public Library (316 E. Windsor St). In addition to regular agenda items we will discuss the requirements for accessible, reserved parking and provide digital cameras for individuals who are interersted in working with UCCCD to increase the number of compliant accessible parking spaces in Union County. Please join us.

April is Fair Housing Month. Join Union County Council for Citizens with Disabilities (UCCCD) as we host a Fair Houisng workshop on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. in the Griffin Room at the Monroe Library. Stay afterwards for the UCCCD meeting.
