“Super Sitter”
Time: Thursday, July 17th and 24th, 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Place: 600 Hospital Dr., Monroe
This free two-part class prepares young people (ages 11 to 15) for the many responsibilities associated with caring for infants and young children. Topics include infant/child growth development, the importance of age-appropriate play, childcare, home safety, first aid discipline and the business aspects of babysitting.

“Boot Camp for New Dads”
Time: Saturday, July 19th, 10 am to 1 pm
Place: 600 Hospital Dr., Monroe
This program brings “rookie” fathers-to-be together with “veteran” recent dads and their newborns. Topics discussed include fatherhood, tips on newborn care, becoming a family and supporting the new mom. The cost is $10

“Kids Care Health Fair”

Time: Saturday, July 19th, 10 am to 2 pm
Place: CMC-Union Campus, 600 Hospital Dr., Monroe
This fun-filled, kid-centered event will feature tae kwon do demonstrations, the Monroe Fire Department Smoke House, lots of games and great prizes. While the kids are having a blast, parents can collect valuable healthcare information for their family. Admission is free. The first 200 kids will receive a free backpack.
