The Union County Community Arts Council is accepting applications for its Grassroots Arts Program for the 2007-08 year. Grants will be issued for cultural arts projects, events and services that occur between July 1, 2007 and June 30, 2008. Funds are available to nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations whose purpose is to promote and develop diverse cultural arts programming in Union County.
A program of the N.C. Dept. of Cultural Resources, the Grassroots Arts Program grants have been offered by the Union County Community Arts Council since 1987. A committee consisting of council board members and Union county representatives will review grant requests. Funding decisions will be made by the board of directors and grants awarded when the N.C.
