The Southern Piedmont Artists Guild has elected a new slate of officers for the coming 2008/2009 fiscal year.
President: Fran Hedrick
Vice President: Florence Graham
Treasurer: Walter Devine
Secretary: Lisa Hoban
Anyone interested in joining the Guild can call Fran Hedrick at 704.233.9953 of Walter Devine at 704.296.9362 for a brochure with information about the Guild and an application form.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month, September through June at 7:00 p.m. at the Benton Heights Presbyterian Church on Hwy. 601, North. Call for directions.

Sara Gregory, watercolorist and encaustic painter, won a third place award at the Stanly County Art Explosion for an encaustic work, “Autumn Leaves”. She also sold another work, “Bamboo”, a Chinese Brush Painting, and received a commission for another.
Sara has been a member of SPAG for ten years and has won many awards, including a second place in the Doug Helms Art Show in Monroe and several member show awards. CONGRAUTLATIONS.

The Artists Guild plans to hold workshops beginning in September and continuing through May, with the exception of December.
Workshops will be held at Benton Heights Presbyterian Church, Hwy. 601, North on a Saturday, usually running from 10:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
